My chip time was: 03:56:16. My gun time was: 03:57:11. Avg Pace: 9:03/mile. Boston uses the chip time, but either would qualify me since they were both under 4 hours. On almost all of the other marathons you just have to pay your entry fee early enough and you are able to compete. For Boston, you have to run a qualifying time on a certified course.
